AUDITOR-TREASURER'S OFFICE

Various duties including:

• Cash management and banking - tracking all transactions through county bank accounts and maintaining appropriate cash flow and collateral needs

• Property tax calculation, collections, and administering online payments

• Certified with the State of Minnesota in Property Tax Calculation

• Elections processing - has assisted in all aspects of the election process including thorough testing of election equipment to ensure accurate election results

• Managing county investments to maximize returns while safekeeping taxpayer funds

• Payroll processing including implementing and maintaining new HRIS system with ongoing updates

• Instrumental in the annual audit process, successfully bringing components in-house to save taxpayer dollars

• Assists in preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, helping the county maintain its 32-year record of earning the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting 

• Proven ability to evaluate processes, identify improvements, and enhance accuracy while streamlining operations

SIX YEARS WORKING WITH A 

SMALL REAL ESTATE BROKERAGE

• Worked as a licensed real estate professional helping clients navigate the challenges of the housing crisis 

• Successfully negotiated hundreds of short sales with lenders to help families stay afloat and avoid foreclosure

• This experience strengthens the ability to assist taxpayers through the tax forfeiture process with clarity, efficiency, and compassion

• Throughout her career Davis has held a wide variety of other finance and accounting positions, each strengthening the experience and expertise she will bring to serve effectively as Sherburne County Auditor
